My students need books and a lot of them. My classroom library does not have a variety of books and I have been adding books myself but I need some help. On the first day of school I ask my students if they like to read and many of their responses were no. This was very disappointing to me. Some students explained that reading was boring because they could not relate to the character in the books. The book that I have chosen have characters that my students can relate to. Reading these books will help expand my students vocabulary and help them become better writers.
