I am a new teacher and my second year as a Spanish teacher. I want my class to be welcoming and a comfortable space. Traditional teaching methods such as drill and kill do not interest my students. My students enjoy learning stations and hands-on activities. Manipulatives are not only for math and kindergarten classes, but for language learners too. I want to promote pride and confidence in my class using spanish books, manipulatives, word titles, flash cards, and other essential learning resources that can turn learning into a fun meaningful experience. My students already have shown improvements in learning new words and phrases.
