Third graders love technology! We have acquired five iPod Touch devices that the students are creating connections to our lessons, through reading, gaming, audio and video. They are able to move around the classroom with these wireless mobile devices to comfortable learning environments. Our school district has provided our classroom with five student computers which are used throughout the day with tutorial, enrichment, and learning activities. My students love making connections to their daily lives. They share with me ways that they use their video games to practice their multiplication facts or how they turned their role-playing game into a word problem for homework. I encourage this creativity at school as well and I am always pleased with their projects.
