With the constant pressure of state testing and kids becoming more and more just a data point, they are slowly losing their love of reading. I want to bring that spark into my classroom and build a classroom teacher read aloud book library. My kids love being read to and I want to bring meaningful and exciting books to share with them. Studies have shown that reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world around them. It helps them develop language and listening skills. As their teacher I would love to use these books to instill these skills and ignite their love for reading.
