I am a teacher of math, science and ELA for 6th-grade Gifted students in a suburban middle school. The perception, unfortunately, is that these high-achieving students do not need the resources and support that other students do. However, the student population in my classroom has its own set of pressing needs, as their abilities and insatiable drive and curiosity far outpace the scant resources and technological disadvantages of a 30-year-old campus. At such a young age, many of these students have already set their sights on ambitious career areas, and now they need help from you to provide them with the means of exploring fields such as medicine, architecture, or engineering. These gifted students are brimming with potential and ideas. Please help their dreams and visions become reality.
