I think it is so important for students to have access to a wide range of books featuring characters of all backgrounds, religions, and lifestyles. Students need to be able to see themselves in the books they read, and students, especially students living in homogeneous communities, need to be exposed to a characters that don't live and look like them. This is why I am actively working to add diverse books to my classroom. I want all my students to feel loved and supported. I want all of my students to be seen.

About my class
