My students love to read books on computers and iPads. My students also love to lay around the room while they do this. While teaching using differentiated instruction, some students may still be working while their friends want to listen to books. Headphones would allow students to lay or sit and listen to online books anywhere in the classroom without disrupting their friends. This would be a dream come true because often times late finishers need extra concentration. Listening to books online gives students the ability to access any books they wish no matter what reading level they are currently at. This would allow students to feel the excitement and foster a lifelong love of reading.
