My students are wonderful, energetic, enthusiastic, low income, first trough fourth grade, 100% African American students that want to learn Spanish and show the others that they know Spanish, they want to talk to me in Spanish!!! Unfortunately, not all of them master their own language and are frustrated with it so learning a second language is challenging and need to be presented in a fun way. We don't have books but my students are very artistic, so, by presenting the Spanish with a touch of art they will feel more attracted and hopefully will bright their day. Some of my student's behavior is very challenging but I have realized that when it comes to working with art they turn into angels and the sun comes out again.
