Our middle school is striving to grow its library with current, high-interest literature. Many students become disinterested in reading by the time they reach middle school so it is imperative to provide books that will catch their interest and pull them in. Books need to cover a wide variety of topics and reading levels in order to reach all our students. Books open doors for students to explore new situations and also provide a means to see themselves and realize they are not alone. Most of us can remember at least one book that truly touched our lives. My goal is to help each of our students find that book - the one they can't put down, and the one that makes them want to pick up another and another!

About my class
