I teach Social Studies and Language Arts to 6th grade students in a rural area in Georgia. Our school system now qualifies for free lunch. Most students get a few supplies that first week of school and then do not get any more the rest of the year. I have to keep whatever supplies they need in my room for them. Many have never even been out of their city. It is wonderful to open their eyes and mind to places beyond home. I would love to have more supplies to be able to do this.
