We are a small, tight-knit community in the South Bronx. Students all call us by our first names, and each teacher has a small advisory called "Family Group" that we follow for all four years until graduation. We believe strongly in restorative justice and giving students every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Although we are very small in size, we have an enormous heart and if you ever come visit, you'll see how much pride we take in our community. Thank you so much for considering our students. I personally LOVE teaching 11th grade English. I feel that this is the year when students truly come out of their shells and take enormous academic and intellectual leaps. We explore so many relevant topics around race, class, technology, and gender, just to name a few. I learn so much from them, and it is such a privilege for me to be their teacher. Even the smallest donation would make an amazing difference. ~Amos
