Your donation will help the learning environment of our classroom by giving my students more choice. This encourages my little learners to make a choice of which seating arrangement is best for their learning. By giving them a choice I am helping them begin to learn how to make appropriate choices to make them more successful in the classroom. This also helps reduce the amount of behavior problems that can happen. By having alternative seating students have their own space to spread out and have room to work. The bean bag chair has been proven to help the students feel grounded and stimulate brain activity. Fitness balance discs are used as wobble cushions which are great for students with special needs to general education students who need the movement of slight wiggles. The discs can be used on traditional chairs or down on the floor. Depending on the amount of air filled, different options are provided. These also come with the pump for ease of maintenance in the classroom. Having alternative seating also supports engagement. The student lap trays allow students to work on the floor with a tray that holds their supplies for them while providing a work surface. This is exciting for students and further engages them when not every activity or lesson is high interest. By having higher engagement students will be more successful. This enables them to become 21st century learners.
