Living in a high poverty area many of my students do not have access to technology in their homes. Additionally, there is limited funding in our community to provide these resources at the school level. In order to be competitive in today's world a student must have access to technology. These tablets will be a great start to putting technology in the hands of my students. There are so many things that can be done with a tablet. We would use this technology in all subject areas. Students will be able to read e-books or access apps to help in math. They can chronicle the steps in a science investigation and present their findings to the class. They can access primary source documents and relive history. The possibilities are endless! Additionally, the screen protectors and cases will help keep these tablets safe for the use of future students. Having access to technology will open doors that were previously closed to my students.
