I teach kindergarten and first grade students at a high need, urban school in Illinois. Our school has undergone a very positive transformation over the past six years, and continues to work toward helping our diverse student population meet and exceed personal and state goals. Within my classroom, I strive to help all students become managed independent learners. I work diligently to help each child acknowledge their strengths and set goals to help them reach their highest potential. My hope is for all students to become life-long learners who continue to challenge themselves.
