In our advanced chemistry class, we use a variety of traditional and innovative explorations into chemistry. In addition to lab activities, we use online chemistry simulations, interactive review games, whiteboard activities, student research, and the ​creation of authentic artifacts at the end of the unit. We would like to integrate even more activities, including using higher-end software and adding fun and educational games like BreakOut Edu, but we are limited by the number and age of our equipment. Adding a computer to our classroom that can run everything we need will enable more student-centered activities and more effective technology integration into our STEM lessons.
