Students find it difficult to see how art relates to the real world and how they could ever persue it as a career. Learning how to screen print shows them how artists can make money and create functional pieces. This project will bring out the natural curiousity to figure out how things work (how clothing decals are created) and enlighten them about practical art applications. They will discover many art careers, instead of thinking of artists solely as painters who make no money. This realization can inspire young learner's to develop their talents and begin an optimistic view of art careers. We need screens, ink, screen filler, drawing fluid, squeegees, and screen cleaner to do the entire process.
