I currently have 20 first grade students in my classroom. They are very inquisitive and active, so I keep them moving. They love to have me read books to them. They would really benefit from more games in our reading centers in our classroom. We have to cover so much in first grade to get them to be independent readers. The "core" of reading happens in first grade!
