Remember what it was like to become interested in a topic when you were in elementary school? You'd read about it, study pictures, research on your own time, and impress anyone that would listen with your newfound facts! When kids are given the opportunity to learn through reading, students are able to move at their own pace and digest information on their own terms. Children enjoy being the expert in the room on their topic of study! These books will help my children to experience that success in the classroom while creating a lifelong love of reading. Included in our wish list are books about westward expansion, the great world wars, immigration, diversity, kindness, and biographies of a wide array of American heroes. Help us start our year off with these amazing additions to our library!
