Today our schools require students to be professionally prepared in a globally engaged and academically elite world. Not only do our students need as many technology tools to learn within their daily curriculum and in testing, but they need it to be successful in today's world. The most of the jobs that they will be competing for in their future do not exist, but they must be prepared. Technology is not going away, it is getting more advanced as the years go by. Unfortunately our school system cannot compete because we do not have the adequate tools for our students. Our desktop computers have become obsolete and our schools do not have the money to buy the Chromebooks needed for our students. Please open your hearts and find it within yourselves to donate for our students. There are many websites and programs that can only be accessed by computers. Our school is way behind in the number of Chromebooks needed for each student. The elementary curriculum demands a lot more of our students and our school is not equipped to handle those demands. Most of our students do not come from homes that have access to up to date technology to help them succeed. Please consider closing the gap and help our students.
