I teach at a K-8 public charter school in Oakland, Ca that serves low income families. Our mission is to provide quality education to all students in preperation to earn a college degree. In my classroom, I create an environment that fosters imagination through hands on learning experiences. As a class family, we encourage one another to grow and learn from these experiences. As their teacher, it gives me great joy to see the spark in their eyes ignite as learning provides new opportunities for discovery and gorwth. Despite many of the daily challenges that my students face, they leave it at the door and are defying the the odds every day to make college for certain.
