Our school is approximately 90% free and reduced lunch, meaning that the government subsidizes the breakfasts and lunches for 90% of our population. My classes are comprised of students who are learning English, mostly the children of recent immigrants and refugees, deaf and hard of hearing students and regular education students. Given my classroom demographics, I place a major focus on learning mathematics through the use of vocabulary and computation fluency.
