Even though we are in 1st grade, this is super important to our class as in Oklahoma only 70% of students graduate high school. We are determined to start reading now so we ALL graduate high school and go on to college. We attend school in a high poverty area, meaning we are not given some of the resources and opportunities other students from higher income areas are. This year has been especially tough, as our budget provided to us from the federal government to supply us with materials like copier paper, markers, etc has been dramatically cut. However, with your help some of that will change as your contribution to the creation of our leveled library will serve to truly put us on the path to excellent education!
