I would like to put a kite in each student's hand, both virtually and face-to-face. Purchasing 35 bundles of 16 kits means each and every student will get a kite, giving us a few extra since some will inevitably end up in trees. The pre-spring break kite flying day will be all-inclusive: science (air pressure, wind speeds, weather); math (distance from/to earth); language arts (raps, poems, songs); music (choreographed, 1st/2nd/3rd place winners); art (paint, sketch, murals); P.E. (heart rate, uphill vs downhill); and finally, PURE FUN! We expect our students' hearts and minds to SOAR along with their fully-studied (and donated, thank you donors!) kites! Here's to hoping we can bring around a good wind change for 2021, along with lifelong memories and learning opportunities for our students!
