I teach preschool aged children with special needs in a large urban school district. Like any other 3 and 4 year olds, they are active, curious, and eager to learn and like other young children, they learn best through play. By participating in fun activities throughout the day, they develop skills they need to be sucessful academically. Most of the children have speech and language delays, others have sensory delays or developmental delays. They attend a early education center designed to meet the needs of children with special needs. . This is a Title I school, so most of these children are at or below the poverty line. It also means I have a limited budget for needed materials. Since I often purchase these materials myself, the donors on this site have made a considerable impact on the education and lives of my young students. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
