My students are first graders who are willing to learn and yearn for attention and to experience things that sometimes they can't because of money problems. The school I teach at is very high poverty. Most of my students come from single parent homes and have several siblings and the older siblings have to care for the younger siblings because the parent has to work so hard to provide for all the children they have.
