Our third grade class is an urban school in upstate New York. My students need a place to be comfortable while reading. I am trying to encourage my students to be life long learners and to enjoy reading for pleasure as well as for assignments in school. Allowing them to leave their desk and get comfortable in different areas around our classroom will let them know that they can enjoy reading in school and at home. Having a new classroom rug will allow students to relax and read on the new rug!
