Our school is located in an economically challenged neighborhood. Many of our students come in with reading-levels far below where they should be. Because we are a high school, our students struggle with basic reading skills which is critical for the Regents Exams. Our goals are to push their literacy level to higher rates and get them where they need to be to accomplish graduation. They are full of energy and many times that energy is misunderstood. We want to find every possible path to have them channel that energy to help them succeed and be proud of that success! Our school continues to work very hard to bring a better education and experience to our students. We have fought hard to stay open and will focus on making more positive changes to build our students up. Our school continues to make every effort to reach that goal and every year we are getting closer and closer to that goal!
