My students attend a very well known and well loved school in our area. Our student population is very diverse. We are 40% economically disadvantaged. However, this has in no way lowered the expectations we have set at our school for each child. It is our goal to encourage every child who walks through our doors. It is so important for me to touch each child's life, no matter what their social standing is. I love children and want to be the best teacher possible. I was called over 25 years ago to become a teacher. While I have played a role in their education over the past 25 years, I feel that I have also learned so much from my students each year. I want my students to leave my classroom knowing that they can do ANYTHING they want to in life. Learning everything they can each day and keeping a positive attitude makes this goal so much easier.
