We are requesting an indoor hydroponic system. With this system, we can grow things like cucumbers and tomatoes even in the winter. All the produce which is grown will be given to students to take home and consume. We currently grow during the spring and summer and also grow items in a hoop house during the fall. This system would allow us to grow the entire year. The main problem of school gardening is that most things are grown during the summer in which student are not around. Also, this system will allow students to grasp a knowledge of hydroponics.
