I am a 4th grade teacher at a Title I school where over 70% of our students speak English as their second language. Our principal has just started a mandatory literacy block in order to help reach the needs of all of our students. This block provides an opportunity for me to read with every student in my class, at his/her level, every day while my other students are on task working with other teachers in my room.
