I have 28 adorable and lively students and they love school. They love to play math games and learn new skills such as counting, decomposing numbers, comparing numbers and adding and subtracting. I teach at a Title 1 school in Southern California. We have many students who have not attended preschool and lack math skills. For students to really understand what numbers are all about they have to be able to manipulate objects. They also need to be having collaborative conversations with their classmates. These games will help my students to become proficient mathematicians. They will be able to use these games in math centers individually, with a partner and in groups. These games are will help students who are struggling and also will challenge those need to be challenged. I will be able to differentiate in my classroom. They won't even realize that while they are having tons of fun they are learning!
