Students love technology and my students are no exception! They have minimal technology access at school as our desktop computers broke and will not be replaced. Our chromebooks are in limited quantities and are better suited for older students who can handle troubleshooting, typing and independent manage this type of technology. Our library has some computers that students can access 1-2 times per week. Getting two tablets with cases (to cover any accidents) provides students a chance to access district programs, research new ideas on the internet, and will spark the interest of students who might otherwise be disengaged. It will improve their math and literacy skills as they can practice with appropriate programs and continue to be excited to learn. The goal of this project is to get students using tech that not only enhances their learning, but provides a glimpse into the larger world around them.
