The school that I teach at is a predominately African American school that is low income. The school is on the verge of being taken over by the state due to our deficiency in test scores. Our school does not have very much funding for extra materials for the students and I am extremely passionate about getting my students to learn to their fullest potential. We have low parental involvement and the students are seeking attention by displaying negative behavior to try to achieve it. I gear everything I do throughout the day to get my students to enjoy and have a positive experience from school.
