This requested HP OfficeJet All-In-One printers and HP ink cartridges will enable my students to have a variety of things printed in color for visual representations and to support their sustained attention. Color is proven to support memory and engagement. My students will also be able to print their work in color for various publications from the hallways of our school to their own personal portfolio development. They will be able to have vibrant pictures to add to their vocabulary notebooks in order to build their background knowledge. Color will help words come to life for my students. Printing in color will enable my students to visualize the ways we demonstrate knowledge of word patterns as well as written expression. They will be able to have color printouts of their Progress Monitoring graphs to take home and celebrate their successes with their family members. Students who are engaged with their learning will be able to make more academic growth. My Special Education students require support to maintain their engagement and I strive to provide them with as much support as I can so that ultimately they will be able to learn to read and write with enjoyment.
