My students are becoming very technologically astute, which is why I am requesting the tablet for them. I have 26 extremely curious minds. This group of students is always pushing the boundaries with questions and an excitement to discover the answers. I also teach some students with disabilities who have difficulty with whole group instruction. Utilizing a tablet from their seats would enable them to participate better in lessons that involve the Smartboard and allow them to share their work with others from their seats. With this tablet I will be able to move around the room as I teach and still write on and control the lesson on the Smartboard. I will be able to move easily from whole group lessons to individualized differentiated instruction with the same lesson. I can write out a math problem using the tablet PC and then hand it to students to fill in the answer. Their work is also visible for the whole class to see.
