During middle school students are starting to form their ideas on career interest as well as developing a connection to the world. Current research suggests that most students don't consider careers in science because they are not able to connect what they are taught to the real world. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunity to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. To help students understand how science relates to their daily lives I would like to build an in class library that is focused on science and STEM; these books will allow students to explore the world around them. Your help funding this project will give students a chance to explore topics, people, and subjects that aren't always focused on in science classrooms.
