My students are 5th graders in a high-poverty, high-risk, rural school. Students in today's classrooms have to gear down when coming to school because there are very limited funds for the school district to obtain new technology. Here in Indiana we are experiencing an increase in classroom size and a decrease in funds to hire aides to assist the students in their studies. Students shouldn't have to suffer because of financial issues within the state. With the addition of these tools, I believe that students will be able to help themselves and will want to utilize this technology.
