My students are eager learners. Despite coming from one of the toughest neighborhoods in the city where education is not a top priority, they put education first. They realize that with education they can achieve anything they want with a hard work. My students attend a school that has over 30 countries represented. My students embrace each other and learn from others. They realize there is more than one way to achieve a goal and we can learn from each other even if the person doesn't look or speak like them. My third graders are active students who like to be involved in the learning process. Sitting at their desk all day is not the way to engage my students. Education is important to my third graders.
