I teach fourth grade in a high poverty area. My students are energetic and bright and are tottering on the fine line between childhood and adolescence. I absolutely love this age, where they still have the innocence and imagination of children, but are beginning to acquire adult-like traits and mannerisms. Truly children of the millennium, my students love to question, create, explore, and perform. They are happiest when they are working together to create something original.
