It is almost impossible to avoid using technology in the day in age. My students are multiple grade levels behind in reading and get frustrated having to independently complete reading and writing assignments. Losing two weeks of instruction due to Hurricane Harvey this year also added to the challenges for my students. This project is for a Microsoft Surface tablet that will be shared among several students to use speech to text and text to speech software. This software works best for my students using Microsoft Word on a computer and the Microsoft Surface is very light and user-friendly. My students will also receive exposure to new technology that they typically would not be able to use. I am very passionate about trying new ways to make learning new and exciting for my students.
