Our principal, our staff, our parents, and our students create a very supportive environment for learning. Perfect attendance is rewarded at our school, so a great majority of our students are here at school learning every day! Daily attendance is so important for student success! Every month is a special activity for those students with perfect attendance. Every quarter is a school assembly celebration of learning for reading, math, and special student recognitions. We also have a store every month for students to buy items with school dollars they earned in our school. We are an inner city, Title 1 public school with high academic scores. The students are a joy to work with. I find them friendly, thoughtful and very helpful. For our drum program, older students helped me move 34 borrowed drums in and out of our busy cafeteria four times (no gym). Our school recognizes student leaders from every classroom every month with their names on a leadership bulletin board. We are blessed!
