I have many different levels of students in my direct instruction classes (learning disabilities to intellectual disabilities). All of them learn in different ways. Some of them need to move and some like to stay still. Some work better sitting on the floor rather than sitting at their desks. Helping them concentrate and stay engaged is a big goal! Getting supplies such at ball chairs, bean bags, and feet fidgets will help my kiddos find success. I have to read most assignments out loud in class due to my kiddos' educational needs. Now that every student in my building has a Chromebook, I am in need of headphones since most of my kiddos don't have their own. With headphones, I can provide more read alouds on the computers, allowing them to utilize their new technology more and work at a pace that works for them. Also, Flocabulary is AMAZING!!! I had it in my building until 2 years ago when we didn't renew the subscription. Flocabulary is on a level that my kiddos can do it and they enjoy the music aspect. I love that there are different levels of activities that all my students can do! Last... supplies. lol! My students (like all others) have difficulties keeping up with supplies. I typically buy pencils and pencil top erasers for them so this would be greatly appreciated!!!!
