Growing Great Learners will center around a garden. Students will plant seeds and plants both. They will be responsible for tending to their gardens. They will read and research plant needs and record observations. They will note what works and what does not. Students will evaluate methods and report findings. Students will work together to grow not only the plants but their knowledge base of research, collaboration, plant needs, cause and effect, and hopefully enjoy the harvest as well. Plant growth will parallel student growth. Students will read, write, predict, and ponder. Children will learn from hands on fun. They will work and apply what they learn to improve their garden and create lifelong memories of learning.
