I teach Adobe Illustrator and my students can use the book binding materials in my cart to create their own book and print the book out. This teaches them how to write a book and the process of printing the book. My students are low income and they are always asking for sanitary pads, water, snacks. My students will want to be engaged to write and print a book, with their basic needs met. Having access to snacks, water and sanitization will help them to be more comfortable in class and want to participate as well feel safe they have all their needs met. This also allows them to trust in a teacher that has their basic needs in the classroom.
