Students come alive when they are using mini white boards and markers. The same students who daydream and get off task with pencil and paper will participate in this interactive format. We can easily work in small groups or as a class. In 8th grade we are working on concepts rather than basic computation. The calculators will bridge the gap in computational skills. This allows them to focus on the concept being explored. Also, they learn as a group how to use some of the advanced options the TI30XS allows.
