I would use the iPads in my Title I Reading Classes to help students use reading apps and online books that they may not be able to access at home. Many of my students come from low income families that may not be able to afford iPads or internet access and school is the only time they have these resources available to them. I would also use the iPads to test students' reading progress through the Renaissance learning website. Covid-19 has negatively impacted reading comprehension and their ability to read at their level. By having access to the iPads during their time in my classroom they are able to make vast improvements in their ability to read and comprehend through the use of the reading apps such as Epic, Kids Academy: Pre-K-3 learning, FarFaria Read Along Kids Books, and similar apps. The iPads that are currently in my classroom are outdated, they don't hold a charge and many cannot download newer games as they cannot work with newer updates. Only 4 out of the 6 iPads work and most of my groups are composed of at least 6 students at a time, making it difficult for me to use the iPads for a lesson.
