The requested resources would help my students learn through a hands-on approach to develop the essential skills related to solving one and two-step equations. These balances will also help our students taking Pre-Algebra explore combining like terms before solving. Students need help to fill gaps in their development of essential math concepts, as we try to maximize conceptual understanding of current skills. These balances would allow for a hands-on development of the essential skill of solving equations, and lead to efficient use of critical time as we develop this skill. The social interaction and development of communication skills students would have to use during group work using these would be very valuable for students.
