Exposing a variety of subjects to my students will not only help them to feel both confident and competent but it will also give them the key to motivation, promoting a love of literacy. When you have a variety of books that match students' interest level and reading level it creates motivation. While helping my students learn to read, it is also important to create a love of reading. I plan on using my materials in many different ways such as making centers, playing games as a class, doing hands on experiments where my students will be able to touch, feel, smell, taste and hear. This can enhance their learning experience which will give my students more opportunities to exercise their creative skills. I feel like the projects that I proposed will help increase overall motivation in my classroom. Students become more motivated to learn, pay attention, and participate in-class activities. The students that I teach need to learn to get along with one another, deal with every day emotions and stress, and to work together!
