Using light tables in my room will be something new in my classroom and only bring more excitement to learning in my 2nd-grade classroom. The use of light tables in our room will be another hand on learning technique. Light tables are a fun resource for the students to be able to look at things that they may never get to look at. Like Xrays of human bones, animal bones, human teeth, and insect skeletons. These light tables will not only bring excitement to our class for those specific things but also they will be a great asset to our STEAM time. During our STEAM time, students use their imagination engaged in building, art, technology, science, and math. The items I have chosen for my light tables include all of STEAM. The use of the different manipulatives and X-rays will bring new learning to my classroom. My light tables will be part of my station rotation that I do daily. All 17 of my children will get to use these light tables at least once a day. With my light tables, I plan to continue to build them to fit my student's needs. I have also included storage for easy access to all the manipulatives for the light tables.
