This project is all about growing our STEM program. We are wanting to excite our students about STEM and to open their eyes to see that science classes can be so much more than just a book and theory subject. I am wanting to provide my students with a classroom environment in which they are excited. This is why I’m wanting to trade in our outdated smart boards and projectors for a TV to which I will attach an “Apple TV” and wirelessly present classroom information on and aid in teaching. Most of my students struggle socioeconomically, so providing technology such as this in my classroom will allow me to take another step towards inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals. I do not want my students' classroom to be a constant reminder of their community's and own financial well-being. Having a TV in the classroom will allow me to update my classroom in a way that will improve my students' quality of life along with their interest in STEM-related fields.
